Simple Balloons for my Sweet Son

Everytime I look at this picture I melt. I always wonder what is he thinking in those exact moments. My sweet son is truly an amazing gift that has forever changed my life. 

This picture was taken on his 1st birthday. I decided to get him some balloons since this was such a big celebration for him and for us his parents. Might sound selfish to say but mama and papa have come so far and couldn't believe that we accomplished our first year in raising our son together. Now I know some parents might say what's the point of this since he is not going to remember? True, but I do have to say that these memories last a lifetime. Capturing those special years are truly an amazing part of life. He and I will be able to look back and see the years when he once was a sweet little boy. Although, hoping that he'll always be a sweet boy, we know one thing for sure is he won't be that little ever again. This part breaks me (even though i'm counting down the years till he moves out, LOL), knowing that they grow so fast is why it's so important for me to capture these moments. 

Our children will always be our children but they are only borrowed. They eventually grow up and become free into this world. Only so they can create their own memories...
