Pow Wow Setting!

Need help with your kid's birthday party? Well here is an example of a pow wow setting for your kids party. I went all out and wanted my son's party to be a unique one. One thing about me is doing things different than other people. So In this case I chose to go with a pow wow theme. It took me about 3 1/2 months to work on this with lots of days off of course. Below I will list everything I did and how i went about it.

Party Table: This table was made with wooden palettes. Big stores such as Ralph's, petco and costco carry these but you would have to ask before you take. In this case I actually purchased them. You are able to sell them again to try to make most of your money back. 

These were purchase from A & I Palettes in Los Angeles. I then covered the table with brown paper that you can get on Amazon. You can use it as wrapping paper or as a tablecloth for kids or any type of party.

Table cloths and pillowcases: I bought most of the table cloths and pillow cases on amazon. It was pretty easy finding these pieces of material under hobo, pow wow theme or native american words. The blue table cloth was bought on Etsy by Watermelonbaby2013 . There were lots of different colors and patterns to choose from. The hardest part of this setting was finding the pillow inserts for each pillow case LOL! Most pillow inserts can be pretty pricey, so the most reasonable price I found was at Ikea. Ikea carries so many different sizes and for the price of almost nothing. The easiest part of this project was having pillow inserts from my own 18x18 pillows :).

Table Center pieces: These small vases were made out of glass and inside it had small pieces of crumpled brown paper. Then I inserted different colored feathers. Lastly i was able to insert a teepee donut stacker stick ( Etsy). The second centerpiece was a wooden long with three to four candles inside (Maranathamountain on Etsy). 

The native Yarn tapestry: This yarn tapestry (Thehiras on etsy) is so beautiful! I got this as a different type of dreamcatcher. I loved this so much because it's inspired by a family's native american roots. I still have it hanging on my tree in my backyard. I love it! 

Gold Paper Lanterns: I hung these up on my tree as well and looked beautiful! There still on my tree :). You can find these by Allthememories on Etsy.
